At the end of the second lead paragraph, after “admissions are considered selective.” add the sentence “The latest admissions cycle saw only 8% of offers of admissions made to 118,000 total applicants.” With a reference to this[1] website (citation to be fixed accordingly). This is to give the reader a sense of the popularity of the school and how selective it really is. 2600:1001:B142:332B:4C6F:FF1:31E0:E2F2 (talk) 13:42, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: The information you have requested to be added is already stated in New York University § Admissions and scholarships. If you think it would be helpful to add it to the lead as well, you would first need to achieve consensus before re-opening a request, as per edit request policy. Original name of the University is not present.
[edit]The University was incorporated by Special Act of the Legislature pursuant to Chapter 176 of the Laws of 1831 under the corporate name "The University of the City of New York" on April 18, 1831.
It should be noted in the first paragraph under history. Stas.klos (talk) 23:43, 28 July 2024 (UTC)

Please remove this statement:
NYU has become the largest private university in the United States by enrollment, with a total of 51,848 enrolled students, including 26,733 undergraduate students and 25,115 graduate students in 2019.
and add this one in its place:
NYU has become one of the largest private universities in the United States by enrollment, with a total of 58,226 enrolled students in 2021.
Please also update the first source's access date to today, and remove the second source.
The article should rely on an outside source (the first one) for this information, not a source from the university itself. The first source shows some other private universities that are ahead of NYU: Western Governors (1 on the list), Southern New Hampshire (2), Grand Canyon (3), Liberty (4), and Phoenix (7) are larger than NYU (14). 123.51.107.94 (talk) 02:16, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
